She was predeceased by: her father Willie Shines. She is survived by: her daughter Melba; her husband Augusta Means; her son Melvin Means (Michele); her grandchildren, Andrew Means (Nakia), Sydni Means, Seth Means, Erin Means and Brother Harvard Shines; and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Thomas (Eugene), Willie Mae Dexter, Audrey Cantrell (Willie James) and Carl Means. She is also survived by loving extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Cornelia's memory to the National Kidney Foundation is greatly appreciated.
