He was predeceased by: his parents, Quaver Arana and Zelma Cheek (Lawson); and his wife Shirley Ann Cheek (Rhule). He is survived by: his children, Billy Carmickle (Debbie) of Campbellsville, Terry Carmickle (Donna) of Louisville and Lori Carmickle of Campbellsville; his siblings, Cecil Cheek of Louisville, Jewell Swartz of Elizabethtown, Jerry Cheek of Sparta and Michael Cheek (Cheryl) of Sparta, Georgia.; and his grandchildren, Brad Curry (Kristen), Heather Curry, Billy Joe Carmickle, Terry Carmickle, II, Chad Carmickle (Kristi), Kerra Carmickle, Shane Vaughn, Jeremy Vaughn (Sarah) and Daniel Williamson.
