With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David L. Knight of Sparks, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 1, 2025 at the age of 69. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wilbur Hulsey and Helen Geneva Knight Meadows; his daughter Testa Lynn Knight; and his brother Dale Wyatt. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Wisdom Knight of Sparks; his son James; his daughter-in-law Stephanie Knight of Cecil, Georgia; his daughters, Andrea Thompson of Alabama and Amanda Meeler of Alapaha, Georgia; his grandchildren, Nathan Thomas of Sparks, Hayden Thomas of Adel, Ethan Thomas of Adel, Madison Knight of Lake Wales, Allison (Tristan Corbitt), Bailey "Curley Top" Knight of Lake Wales, Payton Knight of Sparks and Henry Knight of Cecil; his siblings, Darrell Wyatt of Sparks and Debra Pollard of Sparks; and his sons-in-law, Eric Nelson of Hahira, J. C. Meeler of Adel and Winslow Knight. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Boone Funeral Home South (1804 S Hutchinson Ave, Adel, GA 31620). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home South (1804 S Hutchinson Ave, Adel, GA 31620). A burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (4320 Springhill Rd, Sparks, GA 31647).
