It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Rogers Norris of Soperton, Georgia, born in Dublin, Georgia, who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Judson Rogers Sr. and Mary Lucile Page Rogers; and her siblings, Buddy Rogers and Peggy Barrick. She is survived by: her children, Mary Jane Corbin (Tommy) of Soperton and Barry Norris (Rhonda) of Soperton; her siblings, Joy "Skeeter" Garner, Sarah Cauley (Wayne) and Johnnie Brooks (Kenny) of Soperton, GA; her siblings-in-law, Jeannie Rogers and Kenny Barrick of Soperton, GA; and her grandchildren, Bradley Corbin, Connor Corbin, Landry Norris and Anslee Norris. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sammons Funeral Home (4201 W Main St, Soperton, GA 30457). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Williams Chapel at Sammons Funeral Home (4201 W Main St, Soperton, GA 30457). A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Orianna Cemetery.
