She was predeceased by: her parents, Doy Elmer Goss and Mary Etter Willis Goss; her husband Jimmy Herndon; her daughter Sharon Gillis; and her brother Buddy Goss.
She is survived by: her children, Patty Hester (James) of Soperton, GA, Boris Jay Kersey of Lyons, GA and Henry Doyle Herndon (Melissa) of Rockledge, GA; her sister Louise Powell (Olin) of Waverly Hall, GA; and her grandchildren, John Gillis Jr., Eric Gillis, Jeff Gillis, Marie Stevens, Trent E. Hester, Buddy D. Hester, Mitchell Kersey, Samuel Kersey, Aaron Kersey, Kaitlyn Herndon and Breanna Travis. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
