He was predeceased by: his spouse Louvenia Johnson Cox; his father Marcus Ausbon Cox Sr.; his son Harold Cox; and his sisters, Bonnie Faye Johnson and Wyoma Lankford.
He is survived by: his daughter Connie Meeler (Bouncer); his daughter-in-law Peggy Cox; and his grandchildren, Regina Nobles (Eddie), Jason Cox (Amanda), Todd Crosby (Kristie), Dawn Swearingen, April Paramore (Ronnie), Hannah Moore (Bryce), Jonathan Meeler and Kelly (Jason). He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
