She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Thigpen and Addie Lee Holmes Thigpen; her siblings, Alma Youngblood, Robbie Avery, Wastene Thigpen, Ruby Thigpen and Holmes Thigpen; and her grandson Anthony "Tony" Mullis.
She is survived by: her son David Mullis (Linda); her granddaughter Emily Garner (US); and her great grandchildren, Lauren, Breanne and Matthew Garner. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
