He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lamar and Wreather Nell Nelms Brooks. He is survived by: his child Jerry Lamar "J. R."; his brother Joe W. Brooks (Jackie) of Sanford, FL; and his grandchildren, Shauna Brooks, Shawn Lamar Brooks Jr., Brandi Smith (Brandon), Courtney Brooks, Keri Brooks, Seth McDonald (Tonya), Tyler McDonald, William Connor, Jeffery, Jesse Connor, Colton Brooks, Caiden Brooks, Carlie Brooks, Dillion Robinson, Logan Watson, Conner Watson, Logan Brooks and Wyatt Pettis. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews and many dear lifelong friends.
