She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmo "Hop" Willis and Dorothy Ennis Willis; her husbands, Holmes Thigpen, Billy Ricks and Elmo Willis Jr.; and her sister Anne Reece.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Tapley, Teresa Thigpen and Peggy Hooks (Robbie); her grandsons, John and Robert Hooks; and her sister Nell of Adrian. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
