She is survived by: her husband Reverend Jasper Thomas; her children, Jerald Thomas "Tom" McCain (Barbara), George London McCain, Beth McCain of Soperton, GA and Susan McCain Hooks (Melvin); and also Mary Elizabeth Caldwell Gunn. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one great great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
