She was predeceased by: her husband Floyd U. Atkinson, Sr.; her son Floyd U. Atkinson, Jr.; her grandson William Henry Atkinson; and her parents, Reverend William Herndon and Donna Calhoun Herndon.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Atkinson (Marston) of McDonough; and her grandchildren, Erin Floyd (Ben) of Hampton, Alicia Atkinson of South Carolina, Adam Atkinson (Felisha) of South Carolina and Emily Gracen Atkinson of McDonough. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
