He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. V. Cherian Thomas and Saramma Thomas; and his brothers, Achenkunju and Chacko. He is survived by: his wife Annie Alexander; his children, Dr. Anita George (Thomas) and Thomas Alexander (Keli); his grandchildren, Dr. Kate Koshy (Justin), Scott George, Bella George, Luca Alexander (Liliane), Tony Alexander and Nick Alexander; his siblings, Lena Varghese (John) and Babu Thomas (Lali); and his sisters-in-law, Dr. Susamma Mathew (Mathen), Gracen George (Daniel), Leelama Achenkunju, Sally Thomas and Annamma John. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel (3705 US-78, Snellville, GA 30039). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Thomas Syrian Orthodox Church (5720 Lilburn Stone Mountain Rd, Stone Mountain, GA 30087).
