Steve Waggoner Obituary

Anthony Stephen Waggoner passed away at his home, after a brief illness, on Thursday, June 27, 2024. Steve was born in Atlanta on September 10, 1955 to the late Everett and Vivian Caldwell Waggoner. He graduated with Avondale High School's class of 1973. Steve retired from 1st American Resources in Mableton, GA. Steve was an avid lover of baseball, a great photographer, a model car enthusiast, and a regular attendant at car shoes all over Atlanta. In addition to his parents, Steve was pre-deceased by his older son, Jason Waggoner and a brother, Everett "Butch" Waggoner. Steve is survived by his wife of 42 years, Judy W. Waggoner, and his younger son, Andrew P. Waggoner, both of Snellville. Other family members surviving are his sister, Elaine W. Hill; niece, Jennifer Watson and children, as well as nephew, Greg Waggoner and children. The funeral service to celebrate the life of Steve Waggoner will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, Georgia, with Minister Harold Savage officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
