She was predeceased by: her husband J. W. Atha; her parents, Walter Thomas and Ruth Ray (Griffith); and her sisters, Ann Hewatt and Janie Christopher.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve (Jan Atha) and Scott (Karen Atha); her sister Janis Towler of Loganville; and her grandchildren, Brandon, Maddy Atha of Ringgold, Heather, Stephen Groover of Alpharetta, Will, Megan Atha of Homer and Walker Atha of Carnesville. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the TIM Stewart Funeral Home (670 Tom Brewer Rd, Loganville, GA 30052). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of TIM Stewart Funeral Home (670 Tom Brewer Rd, Loganville, GA 30052).
