He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora L. Collins and James L. Hudgins; and his sisters, Dorothy Hood and Vicki Vinson. He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Quinton Coleman, Monica Hudgins-Hand, Michelle Bazemore (Steven), Melissa Hudgins, Marsha Hill (Curtis) and James, Jr. Hudgins (Phyllis); his sisters-in-law, Earline Corley of Nashville, TN., Rita Burke of Nashville, TN. and Belinda Horton of Nashville, TN.; his cousin Jonette Simmons; his sister Leona Mosby; his godchildren, Connie Brown, Dr. Patrice Mitchell and Jermaine McBryde; and his granddaughter Chloe Collins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
