It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen K. Dowling of Snellville, Georgia, who passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Amanda Elizabeth "Bessie" Buchanan and Robert Andrew Kellum, Sr.; her husband Hugh C. Dowling; her brother Robert Andrew Kellum, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Betty Kellum.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Hardigree (Mitch) of Greenville, SC. and Susan Stephens (Dale) of Snellville, GA; her grandchildren, Kevin Hardigree (Loran) of Simpsonville, SC, Amanda Yilmaz (Yasin) of Simpsonville, SC, Geoffrey Brooks of Snellville, Elizabeth Brooks of Athens, GA, Allison Thompson (Matt) of Atlanta, GA, Erin Carlton of Lilburn, GA and Meghan McMullan (George) of Dacula, GA; her niece Rosalyn Proctor of Evans, GA; and her nephews, Bob Kellum (Amy) of Fortson, GA and Robert Pollock (Nancy) of San Antonio. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
