He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Horton; his siblings, JP, Mildred and Betty; and his parents, Iva Mae Greene and Jessie Hobson Horton.

He is survived by: his son Kevin Horton (Katie White); his grandchildren, Lucas, Spencer and Marlowe Horton; and his brother Bill Horton.
