He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood McDonald and Edith McDonald; and his brother Eden Ellwood McDonald. He is survived by: his former wife Kathy Lamb; his stepchildren, Carla Taylor (Ray) and Tom Lamb; his former spouse Jaquie Bridgeford; his stepchildren, Michael Orr (Wendy), Matthew Orr and Jennifer Adkins; his sisters, Beverley McDonald Trobaugh and Merle McMurray (Don); and his sister-in-law Carole McDonald. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Daniel's wish would be that friends and family give their love, support and kindness to others as he did while on this earth.
