He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Moss Turner Sr. and Ina Evans; his wife Joy; and his siblings, Mary, Maggie, Ralph, Jerry and Bert.
He is survived by: his children, Fred Turner (Patricia) of Waxhaw, NC, Susan Strang (Jim) of Snellville, GA and Katherine Campbell (Charles) of Stone Mountain, GA; his grandchildren, Susan Parker, Philip Goddard (Mindy), April Connell-Ransburgh (Richard), Katherine Smith (Devin), Patrick Strang (Stephanie) and Abigail Petrides (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Austin, Gabriel, Clay, Sam, Eli, Owen, Tyler, Kailyn, Jameson and Gentry Turner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Byrd & Flanigan Crematory and Funeral Service (288 Hurricane Shoals Rd NE, Lawrenceville, GA 30046). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens (3000 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084).
