He was predeceased by: his parent Glennie Chambers (Rush); his former wife Clarice Chambers (Cross); his parent Thomas Chambers; and his sister Lela Mae Jones. He is survived by: his wife Hope Chambers (Brown) of Snellville, Georgia; his children, Albert "Bert" Chambers of Philadelphia, Cheryl (Fultz), Larry Quick of Red Springs, Opal Hope Bennett of Grayson and Glen Hatcher of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.; his grandchildren, George (II), Jonathan Fultz of Georgia, Pearl Fultz of North Carolina, Clarice "Reece", Rick Nesbitt of Georgia, Albert Chambers III, Christina, Gabrielle Chambers of Georgia, Stephon Quick of North Carolina, Carlton II and Tamara Beasley of North Carolina; his great grandchildren, Jori Fultz, George Fultz III, Rosario Fultz, Kya Nesbitt, Kasen Nesbitt and Rylee Nesbitt; his grandchildren, Carlton Beasly III and Leilani Beasly; his godchildren, Constance Ann Smith, Shirley Clark and Donna Rossum; and his siblings, Doreatha Daniley of New Haven and Dennis Chambers of New Haven. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the TIM Stewart Funeral Home (300 Simonton Rd SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30046). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of TIM Stewart Funeral Home (300 Simonton Rd SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30046). The military honors was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
