He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Earnest and Kay Earnest; and his brother Martin Earnest. He is survived by: his wife Patrice; his daughter Alicia Irene; his aunt Lois Castiglioni; his uncles, James W. Lay and Norman Smith; his cousin Tom Sorrells; his parents-in-law, Leslie Collier, Constance Fry, Bruce, Pat Williams, Peter Williams and Pam Earnest; his friends, Luanne and Harry Hege; and also Emily Harple. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Due to the continuing pandemic, a private burial service will be held for immediate family at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
