He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Waddell and Sarah Waddell; his wife Sara Goss Waddell; his brothers, Byron Allen Waddell and James Travis Waddell; and his niece Karen.
He is survived by: his children, Terrie Buell (R. S.) and Ron Waddell Jr. (Ginger); his grandchildren, James, Debra, Jesse, Nik, Timothy, Kasey and Tawnee; his great grandchildren, Kayden, Addison, Ronan and Genevieve; and his nieces and nephews, Elandra, Andy, Barry, Craig and Brad.
