With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Gilbert McDaniel (Smyrna, Georgia), born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on September 23, 2019 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Gilbert and Marie Gilbert of Chattanooga, TN; her husband William McDaniel (Bill); her son Joseph McDaniel; and her great grandchild Emalee Collins.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Daniel Edmonds and Gilbert McDaniel (Terrie); her daughter-in-law Marcy McDaniel; her grandchildren, Lynn McDaniel (Becky), Ila Rape, Melissa Carrier (Matt), Chelsea Piatt (Adam) and Sara Gordon (Jon); and her great grandchildren, Ty, Parks, Oliver and Sadie.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor are welcome at Epilepsy Foundation or Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA).
