He is survived by: his wife Nina Joe Byrd; his siblings, Robert Byrd (Judy) of Asheville, NC, Blake Byrd, Jr. (Tim Miller) of Knoxville, TN, Barbara Horton (David) of Lawton, OK, Sally McKinney (Ronnie) of Erwin, TN and Esther Halliwell (John) of Oak Ridge, TN; his sister-in-law Nancy Adams of Clermont, GA.; his nieces and nephews, Patricia Taylor, Davida Carr, Karyn Byrd, Jon Byrd, Angela Harvey, Billy Ellis, David Hite, Anna Halliwell Boyd and James Halliwell; his uncle Clifford Berry; his close friends, Bill Edde, W. C. Fell, Cheryl McAllister and Fred Ellis; and his caregiver Shalonda Briggs.
