Lynda Day Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lynda Day of Smyrna, Georgia, who passed away on November 28, 2024 at the age of 69. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lynda Day to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Galascione and Marie Galascione (Lombardi). She is survived by: her husband Dennis Day of Smyrna, GA; her daughter Elizabeth Lynne; her son-in-law Chen-Fu Li of Smyrna, GA; her son Michael Dennis; her daughter-in-law Christie Day (Tietjen) of Bainbridge, PA; her brother John; her sister-in-law Robin Galascione; her sister Denise; her brother-in-law David Diem; her grandchildren, Austin Dennis Li, Lucy Katherine Li, Alexander Michael Day and Bennett Joseph Li; and her nieces and nephews, Joseph Galascione, Kendra Sakoian (Galascione), Matthew Diem and Grace Diem. She is also survived by her husband of 46 years, her daughter and son and their spouses, and her four grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at the Northside Drive Baptist Church (3100 Northside Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30305). Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Carmichael Funeral Home - Smyrna (2950 King St SE, Smyrna, GA 30080). Lynda took up painting during the Covid-19 pandemic, as she found that it allowed her to escape stresses and worries.
