She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Samuel Theodore Carson, Sr.; her parents, Ethel Lapsley and Crayton Lapsley; her siblings, Lizzy, Isiah, Sanford, Crayton Jr., Alfreeda and Bernice; and her brothers-in-law, William Muharib, Twyman Smith and Hurley Ewing.
She is survived by: her son Samuel Theodore Carson, Jr.; her parents-in-law, Rev. Joseph H. and Gracie Carson; her siblings-in-law, Charles, Robert, Fannie and Leither; her grandchildren, Lamont Bates (Alexandra), Derek Turner (Barrett), Kristina Darwood (Derrick) and Latasha Carson of Pennington Gap; her great grandchildren, Jada, Jaelyn, Derek Ryan Turner (Atlanta), Anna, Riley Bates (Atlanta), Desten, Davis and Daxton Darwood of Ashburn, VA; her sisters, Margurite Muharib and Dorothy Smith; her sister-in-law Betty Carson-Wallace of Morristown, TN.; her close friend Velma; and also Marie Carson. She is also survived by her many cousins and other relatives.
