He was predeceased by: his brothers, Benjamin Bridgers, Jr. and Ray Bridgers. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Bridgers; his children, Joseph E. Bridgers II (Kara) and Elizabeth Bridgers "Beth"; his grandson Zach; and his siblings, Billy, David Bridgers, Betty Lou Proenneke, Rosa Dunn, Deborah Norris, Ruth Turner, Mary Casper, Naomi Burgess and Rita Freeman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
