He was predeceased by: his wife Georgia Ann Blanton; and his parents, Helen Blanton and Joe Blanton. He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Blanton Hopkins (Kris) and Claire Blanton Owings (Mike); his stepson Scott Carey (Amanda); and his grandchildren, Morgan Pope, Stone Hopkins, Lennon Hopkins, Rachel Owings and Rebecca Owings.
