He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Elizabeth Wood. He is survived by: his children, Jane Wood Allen (Ronald) of Gainesville, John Matthew Wood of Chattanooga, TN and Kelly Wood Stevens (Richard) of Acworth; his grandchildren, Brandon, Chandler Allen, Jackson, Grace Wood, Molly, Maddie, Anna and Hadley Stevens; and his great grandchild Carter Jack Allen.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Jack to the local Smyrna American Legion Post https://alpost160.com.
