He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer E. Garrison and Emilene K. Garrison; his wife June Dobbs Garrison; his children, Michael D. Garrison and Ann Harvey; his children-in-law, John Harvey and Marla Garrison; and his grandchildren, Jackson and Olivia Garrison.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to the Atlanta Humane Society or Second Ponce De Leon Baptist Church.
