Elizabeth Potter Merrell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 15, 2025, at the age of 80, Elizabeth Potter Merrell of Smyrna, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gardner Allen and Emily Peel Potter; her aunt Margaret; and her son-in-law Chris Morley. She is survived by: her daughter Kristy; her grandsons, Corban and Zane; and her brothers, Allen (Susan), Johnny (Dianne) and Bobby (Brenda). She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 3:30 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM. Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Carmichael Funeral Home - Smyrna (2950 King St SE, Smyrna, GA 30080). A reception was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Giles Presbyterian Church (2027 Emerywood Dr, Charlotte, NC 28210).
