She was predeceased by: her husband Oliver Cheatham; her parents, Albert Yancey and Cleo Yancey; and her siblings, Earl Yancey, Harvey Yancey, Thurmond Yancey, Maxie Head and Mildred "Mimi" Yancey of Cartersville, Georgia..

She is survived by: her daughter Cathy Cheatham Tucker of Acworth. She is also survived by the many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home (2950 Cobb Pkwy N, Kennesaw, GA 30152). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Pine Ridge Memorial Park (2950 Cobb Pkwy N, Kennesaw, GA 30152).
