He was predeceased by: his parent Ernest Brooks; and his siblings, James Brooks, Kathleen Murphy, Virginia Bradford, Nell Evans and Emma Dennis.
He is survived by: his wife Glenith Brooks; his sons, Barry Brooks and Brian Brooks (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Hayley Brooks, Hannah Westbrooks (Marshall) and Harrison Brooks; his siblings, Emory Brooks, Dave Brooks and Patricia Maddox; his parent Rose Haggard Brooks; and also Hester Tanner Brooks (Mother Brooks). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
