With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Whitaker Kelly Ashendorf (Smyrna, Georgia), who passed away on August 29, 2018 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husbands, Joe Kelly and Bill Ashendorf; and her brother Bill Whitaker. She is survived by: her parents, Collie Whitaker of Atlanta and Bertha Whitaker of Atlanta; her siblings, Sarah Wallace (Jim) and Collie Whitaker; her children, Sandra Ashendorf Nix, Pepper Kelly (Jo), Bob Kelly (Sara) and Kathy Kelly; and her grandchildren, Jack Nix (Pam), Steve Nix, Kappy Kelly, Nancy McReynolds (Jared), Alicia Evens (Chris) and Kelly Mema (Blerim). She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, and one on the way, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
