He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lee Israel and Ruth McCoy Israel Carden; his daughter Peggy Urash; his son-in-law Bruce Johnson; and his siblings, Wayne Carden, Thomas Carden and Carolyn Deriso.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ann Short Israel; his children, Beverly Johnson, Charles Israel (Tracy) of Smithville, Hal Israel (Dawn) of Smithville and Mark Israel (Sharon) of Smithville; and his grandchildren, Justin Johnson (Susan), Alan Johnson (Whitney), Allison Jordan (Crit), Trevor Israel, Chance Israel, Delanie Michas (Michael), Kayla Jones (AJ), Peggy-Claire Smith (Jake), Kelly Burrell (Britt), James Israel and Eric Israel (Jenna). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
