He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Preston Griffin, Sr. and Helene Rickman Griffin; and his daughter Anna Melissa Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Mary Hilda Combs Griffin; his sons, Robert Henderson Griffin, Jr. (Cherry) and Joseph Bryan Griffin (Candy); his grandchildren, Ansley Griffin Hughes (Grant), Trey Griffin and Ben Griffin; his brother Charles E. Griffin; and his sister-in-law Katherine Griffin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
