He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Myers and Cora Bell Bearden Myers; his son Roy Mitchell Myers; and his brothers, Roy Myers, Monroe Myers and Robert Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hanner Myers; his son Rickey; his daughters-in-law, Belinda Myers and LaThisa Myers; his sisters, Shirley Hanner and Ruby Stegall; and his grandchildren, James Myers, Shane Myers (Sara) and Kellie Elmore (Ryan). He is also survived by other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
