He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Jacobs and Louise Branton Jacobs; his son Daniel Shelton "Danny" Jacobs; and his brother Steven Jacobs. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Pilgrim Jacobs; his children, Cheryl Jacobs Sawinski (Jim), Rick Jacobs (Tammy) and Tara Jacobs Castiglione (Christian); his grandchildren, Lindsey (Jeremy), James (Karen), Taylor (Hannah), Jennifer (Chad), Emily (Daniel) and Jessica; his great grandchildren, Jameson and Ezra; and his siblings, Teresa Thrash, Frank, Jerry, Jack, Bruce and Phillip Jacobs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
