He was predeceased by: his father James Reuben "Jim" Pruitt, Sr.; and his stepfather Fred Methvin "F. M." Massey. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Sadler Pruitt; his sons, Michael Pruitt and Matthew Pruitt (Monie) of Olive Branch, MS; his grandchildren, Max Pruitt, Rylynn Pruitt, Emma Katherine Pruitt and Asher Cheney Pruitt; his mother Betty Womack Pruitt Massey; and his brother Mike Pruitt (Christy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
