He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Mull Bowman; his sons, Mark Bowman of Hobbs, NM and Brian Bowman (Kristen); his granddaughters, Amanda, Makenzie and Kaitlynn Bowman; and his sister Beatrice Padgett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
