It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ella Compton Williams of Silver Creek, Georgia, born in Cherokee, Alabama, who passed away on December 25, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, K. P. Compton and Rose Graham Compton; and her sister Diane Studdard. She is survived by: her husband Robert Lee Williams; her children, Jeff Williams (Jean), Mark Williams (Julie) and Robin Sorrow (Dathan); her grandchildren, Katie Hatcher (Paul), Hannah Godfrey (Brian), Jesse Williams (Kara Lee), Abigail Seitz (Matt) and Aaron Sorrow; her great grandchildren, Ella Hatcher, Bishop Hatcher, Beau Hatcher, Deacon Godfrey and Hudson Williams; and her brother Wayne Compton (Nan). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
