With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Philip Smith of Shellman, Georgia, born in Wrightsville, Georgia, who passed away on June 16, 2021 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Philip Smith to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Beatrice Veal Smith; his daughter Terri Ann Smith; and his sons-in-law, Sonny Nelson and Joe Cartwright.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Jimmy Smith, Cory Cartwright, Jackson Smith, T. J. Smith, Ryan Martin and Josh Wilson; his wife Patricia Bentley Smith of Shellman; his children, Lisa Nelson (Sonny) of Leesburg, Sherri Cartwright (Joe) of Shellman, Max Smith (Kim) of Leesburg and Tom Smith (Cyndi) of Shellman; his siblings, Priscilla Ross (Cecil), Sheron Shumans and Loran Smith (Myrna); and his granddaughters, Whitney Wilson (Josh), Hillary Martin (Ryan) and Kaylie Smith. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
