He was predeceased by: his parents, Dupont Guerry and Annie Melton Sauls; and his half-sister Maxine Beard. He is survived by: his wife Frankie Sauls of Shellman; his children, Robin Barfield (Vince) of Shellman, Julie Irvin (Chris) of Albany, Guerry Sauls (Brandi) of Shellman, Jason Sauls (Hallah) of Shellman and Jack Sauls (Paula) of Shellman; his grandchildren, Cole Barfield (Anna), Samantha Willis, Alex Barfield, Garrett Sauls, Lucas Sauls, Josey Sauls, C. J. Sauls, Brett Sauls, Jared Sauls, Ragan Sauls, Bailey Irvin, Holden Irvin and Maggie Irvin; and his great grandchildren, Rachel Barfield, Colt Barfield, Cade Barfield, Rylee Willis and Jett Willis.
