He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Godwin, Jr. and Helen Sykes Godwin. He is survived by: his wife Rita; his sister Susan; and his children, Jeff and Marcy. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Line Creek Baptist Church (1488 Bob Smith Rd, Sharpsburg, GA 30277). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
