He was predeceased by: his father Roy Earl Wilson; and his wife Cindy Wilson. He is survived by: his mother Ella Mae Wilson Sharp; his children, Troy Wilson (Teresa), Wanda Wilson, Brittany Mayfield (Blake) and Kiera Palmer (Trey); his grandchildren, Chloe Scheffield, Abigail Wilson, William Wilson, Morgan Cole, Tessa Cole, Baxton Mayfield and Easton Mayfield; his siblings, Lamar Wilson (Theresa), Sandra Turley (Alvin) and Jimmy Wilson (Diana); and his uncle Randall Shirah (Lucile). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He used his dance talent for performing at events and instructing local celebrities and performing for Coweta and Fayette County's Dancing with the Stars Charity Events.
