He was predeceased by: his parents, John Freeland Williamson and Sallie Pearl Williamson; and his siblings, Robert Alvin, John Beverly, William Pearl and Anna Elizabeth (Anna Lee Runyon).

He is survived by: his wife Anna Lee Runyon; his sisters, Ella Lucille Bowling of Irvine, KY and Ethel Aline Day; and his daughters, Valerie Armstrong (Richard) and Rebecca Redman (Marty). He is also survived by four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
