He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Dykes, Sr. and Sarah L. Dykes; and his wife Judy Dykes. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Dykes (Melanie) and Jennifer Dykes; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Caleb, Emily and Andrew Dykes.
