With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Arthur Verdon of Sharpsburg, Georgia, born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on April 25, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Verdon and Helen Grove Verdon; his daughter Peggy Verdon; his wife Paula Verdon; and his daughter Erica Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Wendy Kellat (John) of Hogansville, Tracy Gehl (Len) of Newnan, Bill Verdon (Wendy) of Canton, Chris Verdon (Ashley) of Sharpsburg, Brian Pitzer (Christina) of Keensburg, IL, Deric Jones of Newnan, Cherea Dixon (Warren) of Fayetteville and Amy Farris of Athens, TX; his siblings, Janet Seavey (Dave) of Virginia, Joan Lombardi of New Jersey and Arthur Verdon (Pat) of New Jersey; his grandchildren, Erin, Sara, Sean, Drew, Chase, Destin, Bailey, Ethan, Ian, Kelci, Nicole, Kiley, Caraline, Lauren, Greyson, Laine, Paige, Shelby, Brooke, Brylee, Mathew, Kelli, Isaac and Elias; and his great grandchildren, Lily-Ann, Aubree, Olyvia, Aiden, Owen, Emersyn, Lincoln, Jonas, Noah June, Jack and Ellie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
