He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred L. Cox and Martha Helton Cox; and his sister Elaine Brittain. He is survived by: his wife Cathy McWhorter Cox; his sons, Adam Cox (Tina) and Chris Costlow (Lucinda); and his siblings, Stanley Cox and Charlotte Duncan. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
