He was predeceased by: his father John Wesley Stipe. He is survived by: his mother Annette McClain Panton; his wife Kathryn Teague Stipe; his daughters, Carla Stipe of Charleston, SC and Andrea Meadows (Kurt) of Senioa, GA.; his grandchildren, Sawyer McClain and Finley Kathryn; and his siblings, Deanna Williamson (Allen), Debbie Gordy (Dan), Sea Stipe Shirley Stipe (Colleen Bevins), Sabra Stipe, Skipper StipeMaas (Jim), Stormy Stipe (James Pollock) and Shad Stipe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Eric's name to National Park Foundation (give.nationalparks.org) or Newnan First United Methodist Church (https://www.newnanfumc.org).
